- File a police report at the ward station and get the stamped record (biên bản). Your embassy will not act without it.
- Contact your embassy or consulate for an emergency travel document or a replacement passport.
- Do not book a flight yet. You also need a re-issued exit stamp from Vietnam Immigration, or you will be stopped at the airport.
- Bring photos and any ID copy. A photo of your passport data page makes every step faster.
