Certified Translation of Bank Statement (Vietnamese)
A Vietnamese bank statement is how you prove financial capacity for a visa, a university place or a US sponsorship. I translate it into English and sign a certificate of accuracy, reproducing every amount, balance and date exactly as printed. As the translator I certify the translation; I am not a notary, and for USCIS no notarization is required.
Embassies, universities and USCIS sponsors routinely ask for a bank statement, a balance confirmation or a savings book to show that tuition, living costs or a sponsored relative can be covered. When the document is in Vietnamese, the receiving authority needs a complete English translation whose numbers match the original to the last digit. That is what a certified translation delivers.

A Vietnamese bank statement (sao ke ngan hang) is a bank-issued record of the transactions and balances on an account over a period. You will meet several related documents: the full transaction statement (sao ke), a point-in-time balance confirmation (xac nhan so du), and the passbook or savings book (so tiet kiem) for a term deposit. Each carries the bank's letterhead, an account holder name, an account number, a currency, running balances and, usually, a bank stamp and an authorized signature. Statements come in Vietnamese dong and, for foreign-currency accounts, in USD or other currencies.

You need a certified English translation whenever an authority asks for proof of funds: student and visitor visa applications, university admission and scholarship files, and US immigration where a sponsor documents financial capacity (for example alongside Form I-864). USCIS accepts a translator's certificate of accuracy and does not require the translation to be notarized. Embassies and universities may add their own rules, such as a statement dated within a set number of days, which I match on request.

A single wrong digit fails the check
Proof of funds is judged on the numbers. I reconcile every balance and total against the source so no amount is off by a digit or a decimal place.
Vietnamese number and date formats
Vietnamese statements use a dot as the thousands separator and dd/mm/yyyy dates. I convert these carefully so a balance is never misread by a factor of a thousand or a wrong month.
Statement, balance confirmation or savings book
These three documents prove funds in different ways. I label exactly which one was translated so the authority knows whether it is seeing account activity, a snapshot balance or a term deposit.
